Menah Pratt-Clarke is Interim Assistant Chancellor and Director of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Access at the University of Illinois. received a BA and MA in Literary Studies from the University of Iowa. Additionally, she received a JD and PhD in Sociology from Vanderbilt University. She worked as a federal appellate law clerk for Honorable Sam Ervin, III on the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals. She served as University Compliance Officer, University Counsel, and Assistant Secretary of the University at Vanderbilt University for 8 years. She has over 15 years of legal experience in the practice of law and is a licensed attorney in Illinois and Tennessee. Dr. Pratt-Clarke was an adjunct law professor at Vanderbilt Law School, and adjunct professor at Fisk University and American Baptist College in Nashville, Tennessee. She joined the University of Illinois as the Assistant Provost and Associate Director for the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Access in October 2006.
