Getting Here

The Illinois Interfaith Conference will be held at the Ikenberry Commons Student Dining & Residential Programs (SDRP) on the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus, located at 301 E. Gregory Dr., Champaign. Free and metered parking is available during the conference, and hotels are available for out-of-town guests. Location Amenities

The Ikenberry SDRP building is housed at the corner of Euclid and Gregory Drive in Champaign in the center of the Champaign Area Ikenberry Commons residential halls. Ikenberry SDRP features several amenities, including the Ikenberry Dining Hall and the 57 North convenience store. During the conference, the Multipurpose Room C will be available for reflection, meditation or prayer.

COVID Precautions

Per University of Illinois policy, proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event or COVID-19 vaccination record is required to enter the conference.  All attendees – students, staff, faculty, and visitors – must wear a face covering, regardless of vaccination status. Parking

Metered parking is available along Fourth Street (enforced until 9 pm) and Peabody Avenue (enforced until 6 pm). Certain University rental lots are available for free parking after 4 pm Friday (due to Winter Courtesy Hours) and on Saturday. Do not park in spaces marked for 24/7 rental, as these will continue to be enforced. Nearby parking lots include:

  • Lot E12 (entrances on Gregory Drive and Fourth Street, located between Huff Hall and Business Instructional  Facility)
  • Lot E24 (entrances on Peabody Avenue and First Street, located next to the Activities & Recreation Center on the corner of First and Peabody)
  • Lot E15 (entrance on Pennsylvania Avenue, located south of the Law Building on the corner of Fourth and Pennsylvania)

Lodging

The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus has many lodging options in and around Champaign. The University operates two hotels, the Illini Union Hotel and the I Hotel & Conference Center. For more options, visit Visit Champaign County for a packed list of hotels and motels in the area.
