Statement Regarding September 28th, 2021 Event Featuring Ana Navarro

As has been widely reported, on Friday, September 24th, Ms. Navarro tested positive for COVID-19 during a routine rapid test given by ABC’s network prior to the taping of The View. Ms. Navarro and her co-host were removed from the studio and immediately given another COVID test, which both tested negative.
Before deciding to proceed with Tuesday’s event on campus, the university requested and received information from Ms. Navarro’s representatives at Leading Authorities stating the results of her most recent COVID-19 tests this weekend. To ensure the first test was a “false positive,” Ms. Navarro was given two additional, more accurate, tests over the weekend and each result was negative as well. At no point during this time did Ms. Navarro or her co-host show any COVID-19 symptoms. Ms. Navarro has also stated publicly that she is fully vaccinated.
We are relieved that Ms. Navarro is in good health and delighted that we will be able to welcome her to campus on Tuesday.
