• Four Illinois Faculty and Staff to be Recognized for Dedication to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

  The Larine Y. Cowan Awards are presented annually to University of Illinois faculty and staff by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in four categories: Advocacy for LGBTQ Affairs, Excellence in Access & Accommodations, Leadership in Diversity, and Teaching and Mentoring in Diversity.

• First Call to Action Symposium Will Feature Ibram X. Kendi Keynote Conversation

  As part of a university-wide efforts on systemic racial inequities and injustices, research groups will present their findings from the first year of funding from the Chancellor’s Call to Action to Address Racism and Social Injustice.

• Announcing the Chancellor’s Call to Action Research Projects for 2022-23

  Chancellor Robert J. Jones announced the 2022-2023 Call to Action to Address Racism & Social Injustice Research Program recipients. The program is a $2 million annual commitment by our university.

• Broadening Inclusion Grant Recipients Announced

  Six projects were funded for the 2022 to 2023 period.

• Master Naturalists advocate for diversity in ecosystems and volunteer program

  As part of its campus efforts, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is working with University of Illinois Extension to diversify its Master Naturalist program.

• Illinois Distinguished Postdoctoral Research Associates Featured in DRIVE Symposium

  The DRIVE symposium will include short presentations from the postdoctoral research associates. It will take place at 614 E. Daniel St. on the third floor on April 19 at 10 a.m until 12:30 p.m.
